About Our Products-

We get as many of our furs/hides directly from hunters, trappers, farmers, and ranchers. We do not buy raw or tanned fur from outside the USA. All are taken in accordance with all applicable state, local and federal laws. Often as part of a "Wildlife Management Program" to avoid losses to farmers and ranchers, both crops and livestock. Sound game management is what keeps our populations healthy. Just like a smart rancher. If a rancher were to keep every animal born at their farm, he would be quickly overwhelmed and the animals would begin to suffer from overcrowding, hunger, and disease.

Much to the dismay of many people, here in WA state and many other states, you cannot pick up or possess roadkill or winter kills of most species. With the recent implementation of Washington State’s new roadkill laws, we have begun to source deer and elk hides, skulls, bones, and other parts. We hope to begin to offer these items for sale very soon.

Our "domestic" hides and skulls are often salvaged from butchers, accidental deaths, illnesses, and other causes. We work with many local people to save these deaths and utilize them. We usually pay the farmer for them which helps the farmer to replace the animal or pay vet bills. So, by purchasing from us you also support local farmers and ranchers.

Our antler products are cut from 100% naturally shed antler when noted, otherwise we do incorporate antler from legally hunted bucks and bulls. Each year North American deer species grow, spar and then shed their antlers. Avid "shed hunters" spend hours collecting these sheds. We use this renewable resource to make many of our antler products. We do have a few other products (like full skulls with antlers and such) that are from legally hunted animals only.

In both our wild and domestic animals, we strive to use as much of the animal as possible. This includes but is not limited to hides, hooves, horns, skulls, bones, hair, antlers, meat, organs, etc. But not everything can be salvaged on every animal. We always respect the animal, live and dead. We own a whole menagerie of critters ourselves, including horses, cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, llamas, chickens, turkeys and Pigs. We do our best to learn the history of each hide we get when at all possible. BUT in reality, some animals are "killed for their fur" simply because this is the only marketable thing. From these critters we try to salvage the skulls and bones. But there are a few critters that NOTHING will eat!

We are "cruelty" free. All animals are killed humanely, unless they died of natural causes as Mother Nature takes them how she pleases.
